THAILAND

Bangkok has significant number of children forced into sex work. According to a report by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), it’s estimated that there are approximately 40,000 children involved in the commercial sex trade in Thailand. Learn more

Cambodia (rural villages): Despite ongoing efforts to combat child sex trafficking. According to a study by UNICEF, it’s estimated that there are between 10.000 to 20.000 children who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation in Cambodia. Learn more

Vietnam, particularly in urban areas like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, children are vulnerable to being trafficked for sexual exploitation. According to a report by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Vietnam is a source, transit, and destination country for human trafficking, with thousands of Vietnamese children subjected to commercial sexual exploitation. Delhi, like other major cities in India, grapples with the issue of child sex trafficking. A study conducted by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India estimated that there are around 1.2 million child prostitutes in India, with Delhi being a major hub for this illicit trade.
